Cleaning Machines: FAQs.
Choosing the right cleaning machines for my premises?
Choosing the right machine depends on several factors: the type and condition of your floors (tile, vinyl, carpet, concrete etc.), the size and layout of the space, the level of soiling and foot traffic, available power (battery or mains), water availability, operator skill, and your budget. We recommend contacting us with a floor plan and usage profile. We will propose a tailored solution.
What’s the difference between a scrubber dryer and a floor polisher?
A scrubber dryer applies cleaning solution, agitates with brushes, and vacuums up dirty water in one pass, ideal for regular cleaning of hard floors. A floor polisher (or burnisher) is used to buff and polish or sweep a high gloss finish, using high RPM pads or brushes, but does not clean deeply or remove soil.
Should I use a hot water pressure washer or a cold-water unit?
That depends on the dirt type. Hot water pressure washers are better for oily, or greasy residues (e.g. kitchens, food factories). Cold water units are usually cheaper and sufficient for general outdoor cleaning like pavements and driveways. We carry both types and can advise based on your requirements.
How often should I service my cleaning machines?
Regular maintenance is key to lifespan and performance. Basic daily checks (brushes, filters, hoses, squeegees) should be done. More thorough servicing (bearings, seals, motors) is recommended at least annually or every 1,000 operating hours (depending on make). Using genuine spare parts and manufacturer schedules is crucial.
Can I lease or rent cleaning machines instead of buying?
Yes, for selected machines we offer leasing and rental agreements. This allows you to spread costs or use machines short term, while retaining access to support and maintenance.
What accessories or consumables should I plan for?
Typical consumables include scrubber brushes, pad sets, squeegee rubbers, filters, hoses, vacuum bags, belts, and cleaning chemicals. Depending on your machines and usage, you will want to keep spares on hand to avoid downtime.
Do you offer training and support for machine operators?
Yes, we provide training, user guidance, user tips, safety advice, and ongoing support to help your staff use the equipment effectively and safely.
What warranty or after-sales support do you provide?
Warranty terms vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but we aim to secure full manufacturer warranties for our machines. In addition, our service partners can handle repairs, parts replacement, and servicing. Reach out for warranty details on any machine.
How quickly can you deliver or install machines?
For many machines, we offer next working-day delivery if ordered by a certain cutoff. Package deals also often ship quickly. (Check the product listing for delivery estimates.).
How much does a commercial scrubber dryer cost?
Prices vary widely depending on size, power, features and brand. Some small walk behind scrubber dryers cost in the low thousands.
