Fold Away Floor Scrubber Machines

Fold away floor scrubber cleaning machines are most suited for small cleaning operations such as washroom cleaning, schools and housing associations.

Benefits of Foldable Floor Scrubber Machines

The main benefits of folding floor scrubbers are as follows:

Their relative small scale enables them to get into tight areas around toilets and urinals. Foldable floor scrubber machines are easy to use and can be used on a variety of floor surfaces. Plus the added benefit of this type of scrubber is its ability to be easily stored because it can be folded up when not in use. Storage of cleaning equipment in environments such as schools & hospitals is important as space is at a premium and the floor scrubber storage area must be secure and the general public, have access to the building.

Mains or Battery Powered Floor Scrubbers

Floor scrubber cleaning machines come in various models which are either mains or battery powered each with their own pros & cons. Mains operated floor scrubbers offer limitless usage and relatively long distance from the power socket if an extension lead is used however they do not allow the operator to around large objects and pillars multiple times if the cleaning surface needs going over several times because the power line will become tangled.

Whilst battery powered floor scrubber machines offer the freedom to navigate around objects and for usage away from power sockets, particularly useful in split-level environments or in areas where there are no power sockets, however they are limited to how long the battery charge lasts and how long a re-charge takes to complete.

Ride-on & Walk-behind Floor Scrubber Machines

Dependant upon the brand and size of the floor scrubber, some are controlled by operators walking behind them or some are even 'ride-on' floor cleaning machines due to their cleaning capacity and weight. The advantage of walk-behind floor scrubbers is that they are easier to maneuver in small out of reach areas whilst the benefits of actually being sat on top of a floor scrubbing machine is the added visibility offered to the driver. This is particularly useful for cornering and in large buildings such as supermarkets or airports where there are customers walking around or coworkers operating fork-lift trucks and the like which need to be avoided.

Heavy Duty Floor Scrubber Machinery

Heavy duty floor scrubber units are needed for factory floors and showrooms where PVC or safety floors need to be kept clean and clear of debris on a very large scale. These types of larger floor scrubber machines are capable of using hard brushes for intense deep cleaning, medium brushes for every day usage or soft brushes for floor polishing. All of these floor scrubbing brushes can be adjusted to apply differing levels of pressure for different floor types. These types of scrubber are able to apply water, detergent and scrub the floor and then vacuum the floor in one pass saving time and money.

Robotic Floor Scrubber

With advancements in robotic technology there is even a robot floor scrubber available which due to the fact that it has its own computerised 'eyes' and artificial memory it can move around freely from human intervention and avoid objects such as walls, machinery and people working within the area in which it is cleaning. It is able to work continuously on 1 battery charge without supervision and without taking a break. Within this 4 hours it is able to scrub up to 1,000 sq metres of floor area.
