Over the last five years bpi has invested significantly in the recycling of waste polythene and particularly in the washing and recycling of farm films such as bale wrap and crop cover that would otherwise go into landfill or be burnt.

This farm film technology is unique to bpi and produces exceptionally strong film and a range of refuse sacks that out perform any others on the market.

The Green Sack utilises this technology and provides an alternative to the Consumer demand for compostable and degradable bags that are better for the environment. A carbon footprint at least 35% lower than any other refuse sack available in the UK market and a has a clear product miles benefit over refuse sacks that have been manufactured in the Far East and travelled many thousands of miles.

Our product development programme is constantly researching film technology, closure methods and packaging formats.
