Case Studies
We have been providing high quality cleaning supplies to our customers for both domestic and commercial use for many years. Below are some examples of work we have done, such as providing our cleaning supplies, for several companies in and around the Midlands.
Paul Nash, Proprietor of Magic Carpets, Worcester.
The Carpet Sales and Fitting company in Worcester wanted to offer carpet cleaning in addition to sales and fitting.
Paul Nash contacted Janitorial Direct and he was supplied with information on various carpet cleaning machines. Paul was not sure which cleaning supplies would be best suited to his business so we arranged a meeting to discuss his issues.
Following much discussion, advice and subsequent demonstrations, Paul purchased a Prochem Steameasy Power Max 2000 carpet cleaner.
As Paul wanted to clean predominantly domestic carpets he required a machine with a low noise level. The Power Max 2000, Janitorial Direct recommended to Paul has an inbuilt silencer, satisfying his need.
The 2x3 Stage by-pass motors, 60 L capacity and 100 PSI pump all contributed to Paul deciding to purchase the machine, as along with its low noise level it was extremely powerful and effective.
The free training course as a result of the purchase also has helped Paul in his knowledge and confidence when cleaning carpets.
Paul has said "Thank you to Julian and all his staff for all their help and prompt service".
Stuart Matthews, Director of Plyvine Catering, Brierley Hill, West Midlands.
Plyvine Catering is a large, well established outside catering business based in the Midlands.
They cater at large functions throughout the UK so therefore their mobile kitchens are obviously the most important part of their equipment.
Stuart found that the turn round of a mobile kitchen unit was becoming very time consuming and cleaning the grease away effectively, very hard labour intensive work.
Julian Gaze, Director of Janitorial Direct, was contacted and his problem explained.
The proposed solution was to demonstrate the Osprey Robbie 2000 Steam Cleaner. The machine was demonstrated to Stuart and his staff, the combination of the ease of handling, a choice of tools, a 2 hour continuous running time, the 130oC heat and the 4 bar Steam Pressure were all factors in Stuart's purchasing a machine straight away following the demonstration . and was thoroughly satisfied with the results.
As a result of purchasing the Robby 2000 Plyvine Catering can now clean their stainless steel work surfaces faster and more effectively, which contributes to a faster turn round of their very important mobile kitchens.
Stuart says "This is a great benefit to our operation and thanks to Janitorial Direct for continually supplying us with products and ideas to improve our cleaning systems."
John Bates, Proprietor of Bates Enviromental Services in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
John Bates, a contract cleaner and long time and valued customer of Janitorial Direct had a contract on which the floor was being mopped every evening. The area in question was quite an industrial environment and John was not happy with the poor results.
John contacted Janitorial Direct and asked for the most efficient but cost effective cleaning supplies to clean this area.
A demonstration was set up to show John a Karcher BR530 mains Scrubber Dryer. The mains power meant that, unlike battery machines, John had continuous use of the machine with limited running time. Without the batteries the machine was light enough to transport from contract to contract if needed. The very balanced design of the machine allowed for a very tight turning circle vital for tight areas, plus a wide choice of brushes and pressures meant that different floor conditions could be handled. Also the design allows for easy filling and emptying and cleaning.
John purchased a Scrubber Dryer from us, and has improved the cleaning standard in a shorter time and has installed several other machines on other sites.
Maggie Davies, Cherry Orchard Centre, Worcester.
Janitorial Direct was contacted by Maggie manager of Cherry Orchard, on behalf of her cleaning team.
They have a multi use hall with maple wood floor, used for dining as well as an activity area.
Needless to say this area became fairly soiled and the shine was going from the floor. Cleaning was done by mopping and sweeping.
The brief was to suggest a cleaning system to keep in budget that would clean and shine the floor and that could be used by most staff and if possible be used on altro floor in the kitchen.
The solution was an NMD1000, a Numatic 17 rotary machine. The machine was demonstrated to illustrate how it works and an explanation given of the different grades of pads that can be used to assist in the cleaning.
The action and speed of the machine on the pad , picks up the dirt with the help of a maintenance chemical sprayed onto the floor over which the machine goes. This action cleans the floor and buffs it by enhancing and hardening the floor seal.
The kitchen floor was also addressed by the use of a brush rather than a pad to scrub the greasey floor, also with the help of a floor chemical.
As the UK-made Numatic equipment is very competitively priced, the machine did the job Maggie required and there was staff training on installation, The Orchard Centre, purchased the machine pads and chemicals.
Maggie Davies and her staff are really pleased with the results.
